STUDENT SAFETY

The Wayne County Schools wish to ensure the highest degree of student safety from the moment the student leaves your home in the morning to the time the student returns home in the afternoon. Your support of our safety policies is greatly appreciated.

DRILLS

FIRE DRILLS/ EMERGENCY EVACUATIONS

Students will practice emergency exiting procedures on a regular basis. They will also be taught some basic fire safety habits and how to react to an emergency. If parents will practice evacuations at home, it will reinforce the teachings at school.

CARE

EMERGENCY CARE INFORMATION

It is extremely important that emergency information for each child is kept current and on file in the school office. School staff must be able to contact parents or a person designated as responsible for the student in case of accidents or other emergencies. You will be given a card to complete at the beginning of school. Should any of this information change during the year, please notify the school.
